<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner capable of stably forming an image satisfying high definition even in an image forming apparatus having a small-diameter spot exposure device capable of realization of high image quality and also having an intermediate transfer member reduced in size and speeded up, and to provide an image forming method using the toner. <P>SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin, a colorant and a wax, and when 3,000 toner particles are measured with a particle charge amount distribution measuring device by a laser Doppler method, particles having a dual time of 3.0-10.0 ms occupy 40-90% by number of all the toner particles, absolute value of the peak top value of a main peak in a q/d distribution represented by a charge amount q (femto-C) of the toner and a toner particle diameter d (μm) is 0.20-0.80 (femto-C/μm), and a half-value width of the main peak in the q/d distribution is 0.10-0.40 (femto-C/μm). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
