<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a reduced profile at a level of favorably mountable on a small terminal device and stable operation of an operating part, in a pointing device having the operating part capable of being tilted and displaced. <P>SOLUTION: The pointing device 10 is provided with a base 12, the operating part 14 supported on the base 12 so as to be tilted and displaced, an elastic part 16 for returning the operating part 14 according to tilting displacement to an original point position, a magnetoelectric conversion device 18 installed on the base 12, and a magnet 20 installed on the operating part 14. The base 12 is provided with a base plate part 22 where the magnetoelectric conversion device 18 is installed, and a case part 24 designating an internal space 12a housing a disk portion 44 of the operating part 14 in cooperation with the base plate part 22. The case 24 engages with the peripheral edge of the disk portion 44 of the operating part 14 housed in the internal space 12a and forms a supporting point F of the tilting displacement of the operating part 14 at an engagement spot therefor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
