PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection means capable of detecting a flow rate, flow, and kind of fluid with a non-contact means from outside of the flow path in the fluid monitoring system. SOLUTION: The monitoring system comprises: an identification tag imparted with an identifier and previously mixed in the fluid; a radio transmitter for intermittently transmitting a feeding signal to the identification tag; a radio receiver for receiving and tracking the information of identifier replied from the same identification tag corresponding to the feeding signal; and an operation circuit for converting the sensitivity variation for each receiving time of information of the identifier into the distance variation. The flow rate, or the flow of the fluid under monitoring is characteristically measured on the basis of the moving speed obtained from the distance variation to the optional time interval.
