PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of HC contained in exhaust gases. SOLUTION: The cylinder head lower face 18 of a cylinder head 10 is formed of an intake port side lower face 18a in which an intake port 13 is formed and an exhaust port side lower face 18b in which an exhaust port 15 is formed. A first wall part 19 formed between an intake side water jacket 16 and the intake port side lower face 18a is formed thicker than a second wall part 20 formed between an exhaust water jacket 17 and the exhaust port lower face 18b.
