PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window capable of ensuring water cut-off performance sufficiently and having excellent appearance design. SOLUTION: This sash window is composed of a prospect piece part 231 in which a vertical frame body 13 is extended onto an outdoor side in the direction of prospect, a fixed piece part 232 extending along an outdoor face of an external wall skeleton 2, a face piece part 233 extending onto an inner side in the direction of face continuously with the prospect piece part 231, and a folding-back piece part 234 extending onto an outdoor side in the direction of prospect continuously with an inner end in the direction of face of the face piece part 233. This sash window is constituted in such a way that an exterior material 3 covers the fixed piece part 232 and is extended onto an indoor side in the direction of prospect along the prospect piece part 231 to connect an indoor side end fringe with the face piece part 233. Consequently, long distance is formed from an outdoor space to the fixed piece part 232 and from the fixed piece part 232 to an indoor space to prevent intrusion of rainwater to improve water cut-off performance, increase massive sense of the appearance by bending the exterior material 3 in the direction of prospect, and improve the appearance design of an external wall 1.
