A non-invasive component concentration measuring device capable of an accurate measurement by tracking a change in the sensitivity characteristics of a photo-acoustic signal detector to always allow measurement at high-sensitivity frequency, and a method of controlling a component concentration measuring device. The component concentration measuring device is characterized by comprising a light generating means for generating two-wave lights having different wavelengths, a light modulating means for electrically intensity-modulating respective two-wave lights having different wavelengths at the same frequency by an inverse-phase signal, a light outputting means for outputting the intensity-modulated two-wave lights having different wavelengths toward a specimen, and a sound wave detecting means for detecting a sound wave produced in the specimen by output lights. |
