METHOD FOR SELECTING AIRCRAFT ACCESS POINT INTO A LATERAL FREE EVOLUTION AREA

The inventive method facilitates for an aircraft to reach a secure area without constraining the horizontal evolution thereof, in particular when said aircraft runs the risk of terrain collision or of penetration into prohibited area and said risk can not be solved by a purely vertical avoidance manoeuvre. The inventive method consists in selecting a point for reaching a lateral free evolution area by means of the minimum cost criterion of an initial turn manoeuvre at the beginning of the path for reaching possible free lateral evolution areas.
