The method involves transferring UV color coated image producing layers from a back-up film of a transfer foil (5) onto a printing sheet. The transfer foil is passed via a common gap along with the sheet under the pressure of a counter-pressure cylinder. The image producing layers are adhered to the sheet in a section provided with an adhesive, where the section is lifted by the back-up film after the exit of the sheet from the gap. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for coating a corrugated board.
