<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition which enables a coated layer (particularly a recording layer with ink receivability) with proper surface properties to be stably formed by reducing dependence of viscosity on temperature and suppressing a defection of a coating surface, such as the appearance of foreign matter and a crack. <P>SOLUTION: This coating composition includes a low-boiling organic solvent, a cationic polymer with a thioether bond, and at least two kinds which are selected from among acid group-containing compounds containing a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom or a sulphur atom, along with inorganic particulates, a water-soluble resin and a crosslinking agent; and the viscosity of the coating composition at 15°C is set at most twenty times the viscosity at 40°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
