<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which can record encoded data with optimum balance between sound quality and picture quality by changing the allocation of circuit resources of an encoding circuit for image encoding and an encoding circuit for audio encoding as a user likes or according to features etc., of input data or encoded data, and to provide its control method. <P>SOLUTION: An operation mode input part 101 specifies a processing mode for encoding a plurality of inputted pieces of information by using a plurality of encoding circuits which operate simultaneously and can be reconstituted. Based upon the specified processing mode, a circuit constitution control part 102 alters constitutions of the plurality of encoding circuits used for encoding processing by a reconstitutable processor 107, and the altered encoding circuits are used to encode the plurality of pieces of information, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
