PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for efficiently producing a car body structure block in which long-length extrusion hollow shape materials are joined. SOLUTION: A supporting bed 10 is composed of supporting units 30 installed movably along the width direction of a body structural block, and clamp units 40, 50 installed in both the sides. Each supporting unit 30 supports the butted part (joint) of the extrusion hollow shape materials (works W). Both the sides of the works W are clamped with the clamp units 40, 50. The supporting units 30 and the clamp units 40, 50 are provided with expansion apparatuses 34, by which the height position of the supporting position for the works W in the upper part is controlled. Each supporting unit 30 is connected with the adjacent supporting unit 30 by each connecting unit 60, and the inclination angle of the supporting units 30 is controlled by the extension and contraction of each connecting unit 60.
