PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cutter by which a highly precise cut-out surface is obtained by a simple operation. SOLUTION: One of the tip parts of the cutter is jounalized at a prescribed height in a freely rotative manner and another tip part, which is provided with a blade section used to cut an optical fiber, is integrally formed with a first member that makes an arc motion and a member that shaft supports the first member. The optical fiber is placed to orthogonally cross the longitudinal direction of the first member, the cutting place of the optical fiber and the shaft supporting place of the first member are respectively located at different heights and the blade section is moved in an arc shape to cut the optical fiber.
