PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering actuator with small inertia feeling and good feeding capable of taking small linear motion amount of a rack in relation to rotation of a motor without a complicated gear mechanism and reducing driving noise by having an easy backlash absorbing mechanism of a gear. SOLUTION: This actuator has a screw borne and supported by a casing to freely rotate and linear-move, a screw nut engaged to the screw, driven by the motor and borne and supported by the casing to be rotatable, and a mechanism for governing rotation of the screw and rotation of the nut.
