PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fuel cell stacks in which the fuel cell stack can be constructed easily, and cost for integration is low, and which contributes to the improvement in the volume output density of the fuel cell stack. SOLUTION: The fuel cell stacks is provided with an electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly, in which a proton conductive polymer solid electrolyte membrane and a pair of fuel electrode and oxidation electrode on both sides are arranged, a fuel electrode separator for supplying fuel to the fuel electrode side, and an oxidation electrode separator for supplying an oxidant to the oxidation electrode side; and these are laminated in a plurality of pieces.
