PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processor design technique of an integrated circuit capable of identifying a reusable part of custom design in a processor. SOLUTION: This method and a structure for designing a processor 20 of an integrated circuit include identifying reusable parts of custom design generated in the processor 20. The processor 20 of the integrated circuit is custom-designed so as to satisfy specific performance criteria. This custom design includes custom-designing macros for the reusable parts, specifying the number of instances of each macro, carrying out interconnection with the macros, and assembling the custom-designed macros.
