PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tripod with which spare batteries can be easily carried, then, capable of photographing for a long time. SOLUTION: A digital camera 2 is fixed on the tripod 19 by engaging a tripod mount female screw 20 with a mount male screw 45. When the residual quantity of a battery 82 stored in the digital camera 2 is lost, based on the detection result by a voltage detection circuit 86, power is successively supplied by a battery control circuit 85 from the spare batteries 42a and 42b arranged on respective legs of the tripod 19 to the digital camera 2 in ascending order of the residual quantity of the battery. Besides, a state display lamp 38 is turned on based on the detection result by the voltage detection circuit 86 so as to inform the user of the states of the spare batteries 42a and 42b.
