PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material having high sensitivity, low fog, and excellent photographic performances in heat development. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material contains, on at least one surface of a support, a photosensitive silver halide, an organic silver salt, a reducing agent and at least one of a compound represented by formula (1a) and a compound represented by formula (1b), wherein≥44 mass% of the organic silver salt is silver behenate.
