An organism simulative phantom technique capable of controlling the ultrasonic echo intensity and the hardness and excellent in stability. The organism simulation phantom is characterized in that the phantom comprises a first portion and a second portion disposed in the first portion and having a hardness different from that of the first portion and/or an ultrasonic echo intensity, and that the first and second portions have a gel structure made by covalent bond between polymer chains or by chemical bond with a strength equivalent to that of covalent bond, contains solid scatterers (for example, metal oxide particles) dispersed in the gel structures, and have hardnesses and ultrasonic echo intensities different from each other. |
