The control unit has a circuit board [3] with electronic components [2] and contacts [5] that connect with brushes of an electric motor. The electronic components are embedded within a moulded body [11]. The end of the motor rotor spindle fits in a recess [6] and an embedded Hall effect sensor generates signals that allow speed and position to be measured.
