PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat motor which achieves the downsizing of a motor by reducing the axial thickness of the motor. SOLUTION: This motor is equipped with a casing 3, a rotor 5 which is arranged in the casing 3, a shaft 4 which is provided at the center of the rotation of the rotor 5, a commutator 31 which is fixed to the rotor 5 and connected to a coil 6, a brush 33 which is provided in the casing 3 and supplies the coil 6 with a current, in contact with the commutator 31, and a plurality of magnets 9 which are arranged in its circumferential direction outside the rotor 5. The rotor 5 is equipped with the coil 6, and the casing 3 is composed of disc-like yokes 11 and 13 which are arranged on one side and the other side, respectively, and frames 15 and 17 which hold the yokes 11 and 13 on each side, and for magnets 9, the N pole and the S pole are arranged axially.
