PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the power of a propulsion engine by using boil-off gas, which is too little to be fed for the fuel of the propulsion engine and too much for covering the inboard power. SOLUTION: Gas hydrate is transported by a gas hydrate transport ship having a diesel engine with a turbocharger as a propulsion device. Boil-off gas a generated from gas hydrate is compressed by a gas compressor 5, the boil-off gas a compressed by the gas compressor 5 is fed to a combustor 6, and the boil-off gas a is burned by introducing high-temperature exhaust gas b exhausted from the diesel engine 3. High-temperature and high-pressure combustion gas c generated by the combustion of the boil-off gas a is introduced into the turbocharger 7 to increase the output of the turbocharger 7.
