SEAT FOR CAR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a publicly known seat by further improving a downsizing economic efficiency of a mechanical system that enables a backrest of the seat conducting various movements. SOLUTION: A seat for car is composed of a seat section 2 and a backrest section 5 and the backrest section 5 is composed of a bottom section 7 that is pivotally attached to the seat section through a first hinge mechanism 8 provided on a first side 5a of the backrest section 5 and a top section 6 pivotally attached to the bottom section through a second hinge mechanism 21 provided on a second side 5b of the backrest. The top section is provided in a way that it can be revolved freely with the bottom section on the first side of the backrest section. On the second side one of the cheek plates (jaw-shaped members) of the first hinge mechanism is connected to the bottom section of the backrest by a locking member 13 so that the cheek plate can be held on the bottom section of the backrest and the bottom section of the backrest can be revolved freely.
