PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a stable arrangement of two or more pieces of furniture along an arbitrary form. SOLUTION: The furniture such as a chair, a table or the like is equipped with a tabular section (2) and a supporting leg section (3). The tabular section (2) has an approximately circular shape in a plan and has a recessed section (9) with a shape of a circular arc at a periphery section (2a), wherein the recessed section (9) and the periphery section (2a) have an almost same radius of curvature. The leg section (3) is comprised of three supporting legs (6) disposed along the periphery section (2a) and is disposed at the outside of the periphery section (2a) in the plan. The upper ends of the supporting legs (6) are disposed at a lower position than an upper surface (4) of the tabular section (2). The recessed section (9) is formed between the supporting legs (6) and (6) which are adjacent in the plan and a distance (L2) between the end section of the recessed section (9) and the neighboring supporting leg (6) is set to be longer than a protrusion measurement (L1) of the supporting leg (6). A stepped section (10) is dented at the bottom surface of the tabular section (2) along the recessed section (9). An upper surface of the stepped section (10) is set at the higher position than the upper end of the supporting leg (6) and the width (W) of the stepped section (10) is set to be larger than the protrusion measurement (L1) of the supporting leg (6).
