PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kitchen counter permitting mounting of a long object other than cooking-related articles by incorporating a shelf in a space under a cooking top plate part in the longitudinal direction on the opposite side from the cooking side, and capable of being used as a storage space for a living room with wide view. SOLUTION: A shelf unit 100 comprises a shelf support frame 5 with left and right side edge parts 10 and a vertical three-staged frame part 20 integrally formed of the same metal as of the cooking top plate part 2, one auxiliary top panel 30 and two shelf boards 40 supported and fixed to the frame part 20, a back panel 50 supported and fixed to the side edge parts 10, and two cover plates 60 with L-shaped cross sections.
