PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemostatic device which can bring an excellent hemostatic effect, alleviate the pressurizing force imposed on and around pisiform bones in the wrist, and prevent or reduce the numbness or pain there. SOLUTION: A hemostatic device 1 comprises a band 2 which is to be wrapped around a region requiring hemostatic treatment on a wrist 500, a hook and loop fastener 3 which fixes the band 2 being worn around the wrist 500, a curved plate 4, with each of both the ends forming an inward curve, which is made of a harder material than that of the band 2, a balloon 5 which is placed inside of the curved plate 4 to be inflated when a fluid is infused thereinto, and an auxiliary balloon 6 which is placed between the curved plate 4 and the balloon 5 to be inflated along with the balloon 5 so as to put pressure on the balloon 5. The band 2, having flexibility, can form an opening 22 at a position which corresponds to pisiform bones 530 when worn around the wrist 500. The balloon 5, after inflation, is designed to gradually lessen its inner pressure, which helps reduce the overall pressurizing force likewise, as time passes by. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
