PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic apparatus which is easy to manage an image, and to provide its image-recording method. SOLUTION: When a predetermined time passes since the last photographing, a folder is newly formed in a storage area of storage media, and an image file is stored in the newly formed folder. Accordingly, even if the photographing date changes, the image photographed by a fixed span is stored in the identical folder, and the management of the images is facilitated.
