PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper label which does not curl easily by imparting water resistance to the surface of the label. SOLUTION: The paper label is so constituted that: a pattern formation layer (13) is formed on the surface of impregnated paper composed of a paper base material (11) impregnated with a polyisocyanate compound (12). For the polyisocyanate compound (12), an isophorone diisocyanate compound is preferable, and the pattern formation layer (13) is composed of ink using a polyurethane resin as a binder. For the paper base material (11), coated paper is preferable, and the pattern formation layer (13) is formed on the surface of a coating layer (14) of the coated paper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
