PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet requirements for high speed, coping with wide-range rotational frequency, lowering the cost, long-life and prevention of fouling due to oil of the device by performing preventing oil from flowing to the outside, preventing deterioration of oil, improving the radiation effect, and preventing lowering of bearing rigidity in a bearing device used in a motor. SOLUTION: In a dynamic pressure fluid bearing, the counter-open end side of which is communicated with the outside air, when the pattern width of a herringbone groove 5 is a and b, and the pattern width of a herringbone groove 6 is c and d, f=d-c≥0, e=a-b≥0, and f>e are set, and further oil repellent agent 9 is applied to the outside part on the open end of a sleeve 1 of a shaft 2. Thus, even if overall pumping force is generated from the bearing open end to the counter-open end due to the influence of bending of a shaft, the force for canceling the pumping force is generated to stably hold oil and improve reliability.
