PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure formed integrally by applying press working to one metal plate and secure strength of first and second engaging parts 28, 29 against which a base end part of a valve element and a tip part of a lash adjuster are butted. SOLUTION: Thickness of a connection part 24 for forming the first and second engaging parts 28, 29 is increased by concentrating the material of the metal plate. The strength of the first and second engaging parts 28, 29 is secured without unnecessarily increasing in particular thickness of side wall parts 22, 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
