PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stepped increase of actual injection quantity accompanying the rise of a second needle 7, in a fuel injection valve 1 executing stepped fuel injection by a first and the second needle 6, 7. SOLUTION: The first and the second needle 6, 7 are energized by elastic force of a first and a second spring 8, 9 in a direction closing a hole separately. Consequently, energizing force in the direction closing the hole by the second spring 9 acts on the second needle 7 independently when the second needle 7 start rising. Consequently, start lowering the second needle 7, to stop rise of the same or to reduce rising speed of the same is done simultaneously with start of lowering of the first needle 6 by adjusting various parameter of the fuel injection valve 1. As a result, stepped increase of actual injection quantity accompanying rise of the second needle 7 is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
