PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fear of the drop of the nailing force caused by the leakage of combustion pressure through the direct communication of the upper side and the lower side of a piston 10 via the cut-off portions 51 of two piston rings 50 for sealing the clearance between the outside periphery of the piston 10 and the inside wall of a cylinder 4. SOLUTION: The two piston rings 50 are mounted so as to overlap with each other by shifting their cut-off portions 51 such that the cut-off portions 51 of the at least two piston rings 50 do not directly overlap with each other.
