PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing surface mounting parts with good machining accuracy without soldering defects. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing the surface mounting parts, comprises a frame 13 formed of a metal plate, and a surface mounting part 1 formed on the frame 13 in a state of having a plurality of terminal parts 5 connected to the frame 13, and having a body part 9 with a flat lower face. A suction member 22 sucks the surface mounting part 1, and the body part 9 and the lower faces of the terminal parts 5 are pressed onto a support base 1. In this state, second cutting edge parts 29 are shifted from the lower face side of the terminal parts 5 toward the upper face side, and the surface mounting part 1 is cut off from the frame 13 with the first and second cutting edge parts 26, 29. Burrs thereby project upward from the cut faces of the terminal parts 5, and the terminal parts 5 can be placed flat on a circuit board 10 without being influenced by the burrs to obtain the surface mounting part without a soldering defect.
