PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending apparatus with which the accuracy of a bending angle is maintained by stopping the influence of heat on a ram position detecting means by temperature change by using inexpensive means. SOLUTION: This apparatus has an upper table 1 on which a punch P is mounted and a lower table 2 on which a die D is mounted in the upper part and the lower part of side plates 5, 6 erected right and left, is provided with a ram position detecting means for detecting the position of a ram composed of the upper table 1 and the lower table 2 and the ram position detecting apparatus is covered with a heat insulating sheets 30, 31 (32, 33) or formed with heat insulating materials.
