RE-FOCUSING MECHANISM FOR IMAGING SYSTEM

摘要

Two reflective surfaces (46,48) disposed in a predetermined angular orientation inside the optical tube assembly (34) of a telescope (30) intercept the optical beam (L) and deliver it from the objective (20) to the eye-piece (10). By translating these surfaces (46,48) simultaneously along the axis (NI) bisecting the angle between them, the separation between the focal points (Fo,FE) of the objective (20) and the eye­piece (10) is adjusted as required to re-focus the telescope (30) in a continuous and reversible fashion without changing its overall dimensions.
