The base for a collapsible carton is made up of two triangular sections (11, 12). These have tabs (11s, 11t, 12s, 12t) along their outer edges, to which the carton walls are glued. The remaining edges have cooperating notches and slits (11h, 12h) which allow them to be fastened together. Double score lines (11r, 12r) passing from these to the tips of the triangle allow the sections to be folded up when the carton is collapsed. An independent claim is included for a blank for making the base.
