<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractor for a safety belt of a vehicle for preventing increase in the force of a belt web when the safety belt returns from a pretension state to the initial state. <P>SOLUTION: The retractor for the safety belt of the vehicle has a frame, a belt reel 14 slidably attached to the inside of the frame 12, a locking mechanism 16 capable of preventing rotation of the belt reel turned in the rewinding direction of the safety belt sensibly with respect to the vehicle and (or) sensibly with respect to the safety belt, and a pre-tensioning driving device 22 capable of driving the belt reel 14 in the winding direction and the rewinding direction of the safety belt. The retractor has a locking means 24 for preventing the belt reel 14 from reversely rotating in the rewinding direction after the pre-tensioning driving device drives the belt reel in the winding direction to put the safety belt into the pretension state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
