<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection device capable of protecting a user of a wheel chair when an automobile with the wheel chair mounted thereon is involved in a collision accident. <P>SOLUTION: In the human body protection device to protect a user seated in a wheel chair, an attachable/detachable device body 23 is provided on right and left arm rest parts 11 of a wheel chair 1 on the front side of the user, an airbag 35 which is operated when an impact detection sensor 37 detects the impact to protect the user is provided on the device body 23, a U-shaped recessed part 31 to surround three ways on the front side, and the right and left sides of the user is provided on the device body 23, and a grip 33 is provided on an upper face of the device body 23.
