PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient cleaning of cut wastes even in a cutting apparatus having a cutting table of a belt conveyor system using a mat-shaped belt. SOLUTION: In the cutting apparatus, a cleaning device 10 is installed under the circulating route of the mat-shaped belt 3 to clean the belt 3 while the belt 3 is moving circulatingly so as to remove cut wastes adhered thereto. The cleaning device 10 comprises a brush mechanism 11 for bringing a brush performing a relative motion to the surface of the belt 3 into contact with the surface of the belt 3, a housing 12 for surrounding the surface portion of the belt 3 which the brush mechanism 11 faces and an air sucking mechanism 13. Since air in the housing is sucked by the air sucking mechanism 13, the cut wastes separated from the surface of the belt 3 by the brush mechanism 11 can be sucked together with the air and discharged to the outside of the housing 12 and the surface of the belt 3 can surely be cleaned.
