PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network equipment monitoring method which lightens the load on network equipment nearby a network monitoring device, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: Control information for monitoring network devices 3 and 4 from the network monitoring device 1 is collected and transmitted to an information relaying device 7, and then distributed by a distribution processing part 15 of the information relaying device 7 to sent respective control information to the corresponding network devices 3 and 4. Monitor information from the plurality of network devices 3 and 4 to the network monitoring device 1 is stored in a monitor information storage part 13 while made to correspond to the network devices 3 and 4. When the number of accumulated pieces of monitor information reaches a specified number, a notice processing part 12 transmits the respective pieces of monitor information together to the network monitor device 1, which receives and extracts monitor information corresponding to the network devices 3 and 4.
