The invention relates to an adaptive CDMA interference suppression method and a receiver device (4) for a CDMA message transmission system (1), comprising a first Rake receiver (5), which filters out a signal (r1(k)) for a first transmission unit (2), from signals received in common by several different transmitter units (2, 3), a second Rake receiver (6), which filters out a signal (r2(k)) for a second transmission unit (3), from signals received in common by several different transmitter units (2, 3) and an adaptive interference suppression device (10), which suppresses interference in the signal (r1(k)), filtered out for the first transmission unit (2). The interference suppression device (10) has a soft-bit decision device (9), supplied with the signal (r2(k)) filtered out for the second transmission unit (3) as input signal and the output signal (x2(k)) of which is used for calculation of the interference in the signal (r1(k)) filtered out for the first transmission unit (2). A further aspect of the invention is the multi-phase structure which said interference suppression device (10) comprises, whereby the filter coefficients (w) used for interference suppression are selected depending upon the momentary phase in which the interference suppression device (10) finds itself. |
