The sensor has a probe tube (1) and near a final section (4) a small-caliber is provided with transmitters and receivers working with the tube (1). The tube is inserted into a borehole (7) and has an ultrasonic probe (5) with an ultrasonic transducer, bored into a bone (6). The longitudinal axis of the tube is perpendicular to the bore with a radiating ultrasonic produced. Electrical cables are fed from the transducer and connected to an ultrasonic receiver, display with a computer unit. The sensor is within the far end of the probe tube with a point of reference with a circular ring (14) mounted on the bone.
