<p>The module comprises an intelligent, novel unit for controlling one or more connected remotely-power-sourced terminals. An externally connected local power supply may also be provided. An integrated network switch is preferably provided within the module, to operate connected terminals in a network, allowing e.g. only point-to-point connections. An integrated network hub, network repeater or network bridge may also be provided within the module, to operate the terminals in a network or on a bus.
