The structure has an A-column with its column base on an interior part and an outer shell sill is connected. The sill extends forward as a wheel support beyond the A-column. A reinforcement profile (18) extends between the interior part (14) and the outer shell (15) of the sill and attached to a section (13) of the column base (10). The profile extends over the entire column base width, where a bypass of the binding of the column base takes place at the sill. The reinforcement has an angular cross section.
