This invention discloses a method for improving the efficiency of extracting EIT. It is achieved by an event information management device in a digital broadcasting receiver, which comprises a cache, loader, analyzer, monitoring and engine. It preloads data and stores the analyzed event information data in a storage directly. So the application can get the wanted data without further processing. Therefore, it avoids the waste of time and system resource caused by multiple times load and analysis which is needed when multiple applications abstract information. And this invention also provides a method for get all the event information data during a predetermined period of time, which improves the utility efficiency of the cache. Therefore, it totally improves the responsive speed and efficiency of the application in lower cost.
