PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive battery pack, and a power supply wherein one battery pack is automatically selected and operated from a plurality of parallel-connected battery packs. SOLUTION: The battery pack has a secondary battery, and a control part having a hardware processing part processing a signal by hardware. In a software processing part, when the battery pack is attached to an electronic device and no existence display signals have been inputted from other battery packs, conduction commands for a switching element for charge control and a switching element for discharge control, and an output command for the existence display signal are outputted. In the hardware processing part, when the software processing part outputs the conduction command for the switching element for discharge control, and no existence display signals have been inputted from an existence display signal input/output terminal, the switching element for discharge control is energized, and when the software processing part outputs the output command for the existence display signal, the existence display signal is outputted from the existence display signal input/output terminal.
