PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ear mount type sound information transmission unit whereby a damper choking a through-hole can easily be adhered, and to provide an assembling method thereof. SOLUTION: An earphone 1 acting like the ear mount type sound information transmission unit includes a speaker unit 2, an earphone main body 3, a damper 4, and a hook unit 5. The speaker unit 2 includes a speaker main body 6 and an electric wire 7. The earphone main body 3 includes a cylinder part 8 for containing the speaker main body 6 and a passing part 9 through which the electric wire 7 passes. The cylinder part 8 includes the through-hole 12. The damper 4 is adhered to an inner face of the cylinder part 8 in a state of choking the through-hole 12. The hook unit 5 hooks the damper 4 to the electric wire 7. The hook unit 5 hooking the damper 4 to the electric wire 7 stretches the electric wire 7 in a direction that the speaker main body 6 approaches the cylindrical part 8 and adheres the damper 4 to the inner face of the cylindrical part 8.
