<p>A package for a piezoelectric oscillation element comprising a base and a cap for holding the piezoelectric oscillation element having excitation electrodes. At the corners of the inner bottom face of the base, there are formed four electrode pads. Of these four electrode pads, a first electrode pad and a second electrode pad are formed to have different potentials. The first electrode pad and the third electrode pad are formed to have identical potentials by a first connection electrode. The second electrode pad and the fourth electrode pad are formed to have identical potentials by a second connection electrode. There is provided avoidance means for avoiding the electrical connections between the electrode pads (i.e., the first electrode pad and the second electrode pad) at the different potentials and the remaining electrode pads (i.e., the first electrode pad and the third electrode pad, and the second electrode pad and the fourth electrode pad) at the identical potentials.</p> |
