<p>Disclosed herein is a self-propelling airplane-shaped skateboard. The skateboard includes a cross-shaped plate with a pair of integral wings provided at opposite lateral sides thereof as footholds to support both feet of a rider thereon, a plurality of forward-directional casters attached to four distal ends of a lower surface of the plate to propel the skateboard in a desired direction of travel, and one or more brake units rotatably provided at rear ends of the wing portions of the plate to come into contact with the ground upon receiving an external press force to generate a braking force. Alternatively, the plate has an elongated shape and a pair of wing portions are separately coupled to the plate. The airplane- shaped skateboard is simply operable as a rider turns his/her body to the right and left, and achieves easy rapid speed reduction or braking thereof.</p> |
