PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide moving images maintaining the resolution of excellent appearance by fractal-compressing a work frame corresponding to a sequence and fractal-expanding the compressed work frame corresponding to the sequence. SOLUTION: Since a frame/(t) frame conversion device 112 temporarily stores the data of a series of the sequences of the frames of the moving images and prepares (t) frames, the (t) frames are taken out one by one from the conversion device 112 and sent to a fractal compression device 113. The compression device 113 successively fractal-compresses the data of the (t) frames by fractal encoding and the compressed data of the (t) frames are held in a fractal moving image storage device 114. In such a manner, compressed moving image data are stored in the storage device 114 and then, transferred and reproduced. In the case of expanding the moving image data, the processing of taking out and fractal- expanding the compressed data of the (t) frames of a series of the sequences is performed. |
