A textile machine has a creel thread monitoring station (5) with a thread clamp (21) on a supporting profile (6) that partly encloses an interior chamber (10). The thread clamp (21) is located in the chamber (10). The supporting profile (6) has a base (7) with two raised shanks (8, 9). The base (7) has a slit (30) of defined length in the vicinity of the thread clamp (21). The thread clamp (21) has a stationary fixed clamp element (22) fixed to the profile, and a second movable clamp element (23) partly covering (11) the chamber (10).
